What is Eloping and why you should consider it...
Eloping isn't what most of us would think. It isn't frowned upon like it was for our grandparents. Elopement simply means marrying the love of your life in an intimate ceremony surrounded with the ones you are closest with. Todays couples tend to look to get married in the wilderness, the mountains or even a foreign country and those are great, BUT YOU don't have to do that to have an elopement. In beautiful North West Indiana, we are surrounded by big cities with glamorous views of Lake Michigan or lovely rooftop bars with city views. If hiking and nature is your thing, the Dunes National park offers a wide variety of glorious sandy views and hiking trails.
With Covid-19 and all of it's headaches and sorrows, it is becoming more and more nerve wrecking planning a major event such as your wedding day. Venues are becoming harder to work with, with all of the new CDC guidelines (not really their fault just the way things are now). Elopement just starts to sound better and in my opinion, the most beautiful of wedding ceremonies. It is all about the two of you sharing your love with one another and not about everyone else.
Aren't Elopements only a few hours? NOPE. It is your wedding DAY. I have a great timeline for an example of a wedding down in the Smoky Mountain National Forest. It is an all day event where your day is so full of fun and enjoyment and you will be sooooooo happy to have decided to have my team tag along with you for an amazing experience and images to look at for a lifetime.
Here is a perfect example of what the timeline would look like.
